Pavan Srirangam’s Generosity Knows No Boundaries

Pavan Srirangam

We all receive gifts on birthdays. It was usual for most of us, but it was too ordinary for Pavan Srirangam Mani Kumar. He likes to do something different. Instead of receiving gifts from friends and family, Pavan enjoys giving gifts to strangers. He spends his birthday distributing a sumptuous meal to kids hosted in orphanages or homes for the disabled. The idea behind Pavan’s unconditional generosity is a deep thought. He believes that the money he might spend on himself can give a day’s food to a needy person. It, he says, gives more satisfaction than a lavishly celebrated birthday.

Birthday Ritual Turned Into Passion

What started as a birthday ritual soon became a habit of generosity. The pandemic fueled Pavan’s philanthropic ideas further. When he was in Hyderabad, Pavan wondered about all the people who may be stuck here. He knew that the lockdown made people struggle for basics like food, shelter, and clothing. He decided that he must do something within his capacity to provide food to as many people as possible. Immediately, Pavan connected with his friends on Whatsapp explained his idea and asked for donations. He asked his friends to spread the message. Within no time, Pavan created a chain of generosity.

Expanding Scope Of Generosity

Initially, Pavan intended to provide for 50 families. However, his pure intention and unconditional support from donors took him to 100 families. The thought originated when Pavan saw that people were not thinking beyond themselves. He wanted to set a new trend for everyone to follow. He wanted to teach generosity. Pavan gives the credit of his philanthropy to his father.

Mr. S. Veera Venkata Satya Prasad. His father, being a journalist, helped him locate the poorest of the poor and reach out to them. They connect with volunteers at the village for a list of such households.

Good Thoughts Implemented

Pavan spent 22,000 rupees to provide a week’s food to 100 families. Most of it came through donations. When the donations didn’t suffice, Pavan paid from his pocket to cover the shortage. He usually chooses people who are not in a position to go out and get food. His method of distributing food is as unique as his thoughts for people. Pavan goes door-to-door to distribute at least seven food items. These include rice, pulses, tea, and other items for breakfast. His father and brother help him in the process of distribution.

The multitalented Pavan Srirangam

While working as a program director in Mirror Tv (YouTube Channel), Pavan continues his generosity. Apart from his being a program director, Pavan is also an actor. His passion for acting got him an opportunity to be part of a few government projects. During his efforts to feed people, Pavan encountered many generous souls. These are the people who are willing to help but cannot find a medium to do so. Pavan became the bridge between these kind hearts and the people in need. Let’s hope that all his dreams come true and his chain of generosity increases every day.
