Today’s story is about a travel blogger couple – Vaishali & Mihir in their own words.
Sharing our story is no less than a fairy tale. Mihir and I, both travel bloggers, met at a popular travel destination a few years back, where we were introduced through our mutual friends. The trip ended on an optimistic note, and we remained good friends for a few years. After three long years, we met at a Beach in Mumbai where suddenly Mihir popped out a question and asked me, “Would you be able to spend the rest of your life with me?”
Travel blogger becomes a couple
It was a surprising thing for me as I was not at all ready for it, and it took a few days before I could tell him a “YES.” We were more like friends than a couple and got along well. The unique thing about our story is that neither we are from the older generation nor the newest generation, where people download dating apps and start a relationship temporarily.
We had better decency and honesty before we could start seeing each other. There were minor issues and fights, but they never affected us. It was back to normal always. Also, one of the funny and best parts of our relationship is that we both are Sagittarius, and it’s tough to handle a Sagittarian sometimes.
Even today, we have preserved all the handmade gifts we gave each other. We have lovingly written down the few killer memories that we can’t forget, few coincidences which happened in our valued diaries. All this stuff remains fresh and alive as memories.
The tricky part was to convince her parents. It is the most significant task for many couples, but unexpectedly it was a smooth process in our case. We still fight like typical teenagers sometimes, but things always get back on track. One thing I need to say is: always keep your inner child active. The day you think you have matured, you will never be able to recollect the best moments and may fail terribly in relationships.
After getting hitched, we have started our own Travel & Food Channel and Blog (TheGlobalBlogster) for the love of experimenting and discovering things around us. No doubt we have many Haters and few insecure relatives about our work, but that motivates us, and we manage to struggle more and reach a few steps ahead day by day. In our caste, they say only the Business and retail concept works, which is an orthodox idea.
There is no difference in selling your product on a road or a retail outlet, the end of the day. The earnings are almost the same. It doesn’t matter how you earn; we believe even selling bananas on the road or getting confident in front of the camera with many locals around and speaking up all these things require skill and talent. No work is small or big.
We want to prove them wrong in the upcoming few years and are diligently working on it. We believe in ourselves and try to do things differently.
