Sougand Akbarian realized travel is love while she worked as a translator. Her love for Bharat, especially Delhi, was so intense that it transformed into a book. The recent lockdown caused by the pandemic allowed Sougand to breathe life into a book. So, 2020 added another designation to the traveler and translator. She is now a bestselling author too.
She is immensely grateful to God, her mother, and the CEO of Damick Publications, Chandra Kant Jaisansaria, for bringing her experiences to people. Sougand’s list of designations does not end here. She is a researcher and a scholar in Translation Studies. Sougand also holds a Master’s in English Language Translation Studies. Speaking more about her novel, Sougand explains why the font of the title is away from average. Capital D signifies the merger of Sougand and Devraj – the protagonists of her story. It also represents Dil (heart), Dard (pain), and Dilli (Delhi). It is similar to a merger of her feelings of travel is love and Delhi is love.
